Life has a way of breaking you open when you least expect it. One moment, you think you know who you are, and the next, everything is stripped away. That was my reality.
My marriage had ended, and I was trying to find my footing in a new world of co-parenting with someone I still deeply loved. But long before that, I had already faced the battle of overcoming the trauma that had shaped me in my teenage years. Every hardship, addiction, homelessness, toxic relationships, and the weight of being a teen mother had left imprints on me. I had built walls, developed coping mechanisms, and carried survival instincts that helped me through, but they weren’t me. They were the armour I wore to navigate a world that had not been kind.
When I stepped into my marriage, I didn’t realise how much of that past was still dictating the way I showed up. I loved deeply, but I also acted from wounds that were never mine to carry. I responded to love through patterns of protection, not truth. When my marriage ended, it forced me to face the parts of myself I had hidden, the parts I had mistaken for my identity. I had to unlearn everything I thought kept me safe, strip away the conditioning, and rediscover the version of me that had always been there intuitive, open, and free.
For that, I am thankful. Thankful for the loss, because it wasn’t really a loss at all it was the doorway to me. I had spent years surviving enduring trauma, toxic relationships, addiction, homelessness, and the weight of being a teen mother. I had spent my life feeling unseen, unheard, and unsure of where I belonged. Like so many Projectors, I knew things before I could explain them, yet the world around me didn’t recognise or value what I had to offer.
And then, as if the Universe was making sure I really listened, I lost my vision. Completely.
For weeks, I lay in Royal Perth Hospital, blind to the world but finally seeing in a way I never had before. There was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. Just me, stripped bare, forced to rely on something deeper than logic; my intuition. And in that darkness, I finally understood who I was.
When my sight returned, I couldn’t go back to the life I had known. I had spent years working in child care, supporting vulnerable children as a director, giving them the safe start in life I never had. I loved that work. But even there, I struggled to be truly seen. My Projector energy was poured into guiding, nurturing, and uplifting others, yet the world only seemed to value what I did, not what I knew.
So, as if divinely orchestrated, I stepped fully into my spiritual calling.
Within two weeks, I had completed over 100 readings each one shaking both myself and the sitter to the core. Spirit spoke, and I listened. Over the next eight months, my life accelerated beyond anything I could have imagined. I stood on stage delivering mediumship demonstrations, launched a podcast, and poured my entire being into this work. But then, burnout hit me hard.
I learned the hard way that Projectors are different. We are not here to work ourselves into exhaustion. We are not built to measure our worth by how much we do. We are here to see, to guide, to bring wisdom into the world. My burnout forced me to restructure everything/ to stop overgiving, to step into my true role, and to honour my energy rather than deplete it.
That’s why I created The Intuitive Mastery Mentorship not as a rigid, one-size-fits-all program, but as a sacred space where you are met exactly where you are. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter lessons. I see you not just who you are now, but where you’ve been and where you’re headed. I learn how you learn, and I teach in a way that feels natural and aligned for you.
